Maria Hintog, APCC

Maria Hintog (she/her) is a queer, neurodivergent, first-generation Filipinx psychotherapist who thrives in the beautifully fringe corners of mental health: decolonization, sex and kink-affirming care, shadow work, couple’s therapy, and relational healing. Her work is deeply rooted in social justice, sex-positivity, the mind-body connection, and collective liberation - all held through a holistic, decolonial, and intersectional lens. Humor, curiosity, and deep collaboration are core to how she shows up in the room.

Maria is here for the ones who’ve been told they’re “too much,” “too angry,” or “too complicated.” (Spoiler alert: You’re not!) She honors the parts of you society tried to shame and refuses to put you in a box. Whether you're navigating grief, pleasure, rage, identity, or intimacy, she’s ready to swim alongside you, no matter how turbulent the waters.

If you live along the margins and crave a space where your shadow and your light are both welcome, you’re in the right place. Individuals, Couples, ENM welcome.

Maria is also a Gottman Level 1 trained clinician, a Certified Sex/Kink Educator, and Certified Intimacy Coordinator. Her work has been featured on Planet Sex with Cara Delevigne (Hulu), Game Changer (Dropout TV), and music videos like Just Us (Jack Harlow feat. Doja Cat). She regularly teaches courses on sex education and the psychology of kink/BDSM.

When she’s not working, Maria enjoys practicing Filipino martial arts, crocheting, backpacking through remote wilderness, dancing, or being joyfully silly with her pitbull, Obi Kenobi.

Maria speaks English and Tagalog.

These places of possibility within ourselves are dark because they are ancient and hidden; they have survived and grown strong through that darkness. Within these deep places, each one of us holds an incredible reserve of creativity and power, of unexamined and unrecorded emotion and feeling.
